The Yawpers

The Yawpers are an American rock band. Lead vocalist Nate Cook has a varying amount of vocal styles in his arsenal: he screeches, sings, yelps, hollers, and contorts the ends of words into a scratched-out stutter. The rest of the trio bangs out the fast-moving, twangy tunes with a sweetly intricate slide guitar and hard-hitting percussion. The Yawpers embody the punk ethos and have a riotous stage energy that invites an audience to stomp and holler back from the standing room floor.
