Scale the Summit is an instrumental “adventure” metal four-piece. The quartet of gear-heads use ultra-refined tones to take listeners on an expedition through metallic soundscapes. Each member of the band is a modern technical marvel, balancing jazz with blues and heavy metal in an instrumental soup. Chris Letchford is the band’s prime songwriter and overall guitar wizard. Outside of the band he offers private lessons, internet playthroughs and tutorials.
New bassist, Mark Mitchell is the standout performer on the band’s new record, “The Migration”. His unique, melodic style adds thunderous flavor and a fresh edge to the band’s gargantuan, triumphant noise. Four records in 6 years and a solo Jazz record released with members the Reign of Kindo shows the band’s fervor to thrive and create their optimistic brand of instrumental rock.
