Playburst

About the band

Playburst is a new emo outfit from Malaysia, formed in 2019 by former and current members of bands like Couple, Tools Of The Trade, The Fridays, Crack Guilty, Jalan Sehala, Code Error, Kah-Roe-Shi and Pakatan Haram Jadah. United by their love of 90s midwest emo, math rock and all the colours of punk rock and hardcore that they didn't really get to explore much with their other bands, Playburst is a fresh new musical adventure that will hopefully benefit from all the other adventures that the band members have had so far with their other bands. This performance of "Big Mouth" and "What's Wrong With Love" (both from their debut album Positive Jams) was recorded live with a mobile phone during a small gig at a venue called Seniman Kakao in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on November 3, 2019.

With their debut album Positive Jams in tow, self-released on CD in Malaysia in December 2019 and with a Japanese release planned towards the end of 2020, the band hopes to tour and play as many shows as their schedules (and a post-COVID19 world) would permit them, and bring their brand of emotive joy to all corners of Malaysia, the region, and hopefully the world.
